linux: creating symbolic link for java

Symbolic link (aka symlink or shortcut in windoze)

ln -s /usr/java/jdk1.5.0_09/bin/java /usr/local/bin/java
ln -s /usr/java/jdk1.5.0_09/bin/javac /usr/local/bin/javac
ln -s /usr/java/jdk1.5.0_09/bin/javadoc /usr/local/bin/javadoc
